Post your kid-friendly testimony here.

Kid friendly = brief, simple, and to the point.

You can refer to the comment from the previous post for ideas on language to use.

I look forward to reading them and talking about them with the group.

  1. When I was young, I was a good girl. I did not fight or hit my friends. But, sometimes, I got angry with my Mom and Dad when they asked me to do something and I did not want to do because I wanted to go play; I did not obey them; I did not listen to them. That made God/Jesus very sad. The bad things that I did got Jesus in trouble. Jesus loves me so much that He was punished instead of me. He died on the cross for the bad things that I did. But on the third day, He became alive again and now He is in Heaven. I wanted Jesus to be my friend. The only way to be Jesus’ friend is to pray to Jesus and tell Him I am sorry for all the bad things I have done and ask Him to come and live in my Heart and help me to do the right thing from now on. When I die I know I will be in Heaven with Jesus forever.

  2. I did not grow up going to church or knowing about God. But, I always felt that there was some sort of God out there. One of my friends from school started inviting me to go to church, so I started going and I met a lot of people there. Through going to church and talking with people I began to learn about this God who was also a man named Jesus. I thought this was neat because I always believed in a God and this was making sense to me. I learned that this God was a good God, and he didn't like it when people did bad things, which I've done a lot of. But I also learned that he makes it ok for us even though we've done bad things, because his son Jesus paid for our bad things instead of us. I learned that this is because He loves us, which I also thought was neat. Because He loves me that much and is a lot wiser than I am, I decided to pray and let him guide me in my life. He has helped me figure out a lot of things in my life and brought many good things as well.

  3. My parents believed in God, so I knew about God since I was little. I went to church every week and learned about God and Jesus and how Jesus saved us from being punished by dying on a cross. Sometimes I did bad things like lie to my parents or fight with my brother. Whenver bad things like that happened, I always told God I was sorry and that I would try not to do it again. After a while I decided that I wanted to be with God forever and I asked him to help me be a good person. Now I talk to God everyday and I ask him to help me do good things in life.

  4. When I was young my family prayed to Jesus, but I did not always try to do what He said. When I was 17, I began to see how other people spent their time learning about Jesus and doing what Jesus says to do. I also felt in my heart that Jesus was real, than he loved me, and that he wanted me to believe in him and do what He tells us to do in the Bible. I told God that I believed in him and loved him, and I have been trying to learn more about him and show others about him ever since. Even now, I don't always do good things, but because I love Jesus and He loves me, I know that its ok and I still get to live forever with Jesus in heaven.

  5. Since both of my parents are Christians, I went to church almost every Sunday. I learned about God and Jesus through Bible stories. One of the many cool things that I have learned was that Jesus was sent to die on the cross for us because of the bad things we do. I would steal my brother's candies and lie to my parents. When I said "sorry" to God, he forgives me and gives me many chances. Knowing that God will help me and love me always, I wanted him to be my friend forever. To do this, I prayed to God and asked him to come and stay with me. Even after I die, I will be able to meet God and Jesus and they will always be by my side.

  6. I didn't know about God and Jesus until I was in middle school, but even then I wasn't friends with Him yet. I liked making my own decisions and deciding what was best for me. I lived my life my own way and started playing cello seriously. But even though I was doing what I wanted, I was still sad and disappointed. That's when He showed me how wonderful He is, how much He cares and loves me and invited me to be His friend. He knows everything and all His decisions are for my good so now I try to let Him show me what to do. It's hard, though, and sometimes I still choose my own way. But whenever I do that, it always leads to more pain. God is amazing and wants what's best for us, even if we don't think it will be good for us.

  7. When I was young and my family started going to church, I learned many Bible stories and about God and Jesus. I learned how Jesus died for us because we did bad things because he is our friend and he loves us. Because he died for us, when I did bad things like lie or fight with my brother, I knew that if I said "sorry" to Him and meant it, He would forgive me and still love me. I also know that He will always try to help me make good decisions and love me forever, and when I die, I will be able to live with him forever in heaven.
